- MARGRETTA STEWART DIETRICH [a.k.a., "Sister Pig"; "Piggy"; "Peeg"; "Pat"; Mrs. Charles H. Dietrich] Correspondence from Maria Chabot to Margretta Dietrich: Twenty letters and seven postcards from Chabot to Dietrich, Oct. 29, 1937 - March 24, 1958. The correspondence from 1937 and 1938 concerns Chabot's travels in Europe with Dorothy Stewart. The letter of [August 22, 1938] details her study of British Colonial Administration at Oxford and compares it with the American Indian Civil Service. Enclosed with this letter was a carbon copy of a letter Chabot wrote to G.D. Perier, Head of the Belgian Congo Arts and Crafts Commission. There are series of letters written in 1940, which deal with M.C.'s work among the Navajo for the U.S. Indian Service, Arts and Crafts Board. The letter of March 17, 1947 concerns the death and burial of M.C.'s father in San Antonio. The letter of December 24, 1955 concerns the imminent death of Dorothy Stewart and their last days together in Mexico. The letters of 1957 and 1958 concern Chabot's inheritance of property in Santa Fe from D.N.S. and from Dietrich. Correspondence from Margretta Dietrich to Maria Chabot: Nine letters, one postcard, and one envelope without contents from Dietrich to Chabot, March 1941 - June 12, 1958. The letters of February 1945 concern Dorothy Stewart's cancer operation. The letter of Jan. 10, 1956 describes the funeral arrangements for D.N.S. The letters of 1957 and 1958 concern Chabot's inheritance from D.N.S.
